With football season, the holidays and deer season in full swing, doves may not be at the top of your list. However, if you do decide to venture out for some game day jalapeño dove poppers, you can expect to be pleasantly surprised.
The key to late season dove hunting is scouting ahead of time. Since typical food sources for doves have disappeared in the winter, doves will be searching for new food sources. The best part about winter doves is their size, since most of the younger, smaller birds have flown south.
